Cork Airport is conveniently situated approximately 5 miles to the south of Cork City. For those students staying with Host Families, your Family will provide you with transfer from and back to the airport, providing your flight times are within the hours of 10am and 11pm. Outside those times, airport transfer will be at your own expense. Those opting for Self- Catering accommodation can take either the bus service which runs regularly to the city centre, or take a taxi which should cost no more than 20 euros. Please make certain that you have provided us with the correct flight information to ensure that you will reach your home in Cork safely. |

Swansea-Cork Ferries have a direct ferry daily between Swansea (Wales) and Cork, travel time about nine hours. Irish Ferries run ferry services between Holyhead and Dublin (approx. 250km from Cork) and between Pembroke and Rosslare (approx. 180km from Cork). They also have ferries from Cherbourg and Roscoff to Roslare. Brittany Ferries have a weekly ferry between Roscoff and Cork, travel time about 14 hours.

Kent Station is Cork's local train station closely located to the city centre. There are very regular and reliable train services operating between Cork and Dublin. From Dublin (Heuston Station), there are about 8 trains a day, journey time about 3 hours. Trains stop at Mallow for connections with Killarney, and at Limerick Junction for connections with Limerick ( for Shannon Airport).
